To address challenges such as scarce resources, climate change, and rising operating costs in industry, WAGO and Endress+Hauser launched a joint digitalization project. The result was an I/O solution that could be customized for existing projects. Our WAGO PFC200, WAGO CC100 Compact Controllers, and WAGO IoT Control Boxes were installed as gateways. Endress+Hauser provided the measurement technology and visualized the measurement data via the digital service Netilion Network Insights. Netilion Network Insights provides process transparency and makes it easy to create records and documents.
Example of water management: In the water supply project of the city of Obersend in Hesse, a complete, scalable solution provides full process transparency from water intake to water distribution. This approach can also be used to implement other industrial solutions, such as the verification of wastewater quality in beer production.
Continuously recording information about the system status and necessary maintenance measures enables proactive, long-term action and efficient operation.
In this solution, WAGO PFC200 components, CC100 Compact Controllers and WAGO IoT Control Boxes are responsible for recording various forms of field data from different measuring devices via various interfaces and processing the measured data locally so that it can be made available to the Netilion Cloud for further processing and evaluation. Together, we have developed a fully scalable hardware solution that can be used to implement system-specific project requirements.
The WAGO CC100 Compact Controller is ideal for compact control applications with low amounts of measured data in small projects. The WAGO IoT Control Box completes the concept. Customers receive a complete solution for their specific project needs; it only needs to be installed and connected on site. This approach involves an intelligent IoT gateway, which serves as the OT/IT connection in this solution.
